The Best Pizza!

Ever since I made my first trip to Boston this year, I have been on a quest to find a great tasting pizza. When one thinks of Boston and pizza, the chain restaurant of the same name comes to mind. There, they sell perfectly shaped and cooked pizza’s that look the same everytime you order one. The chain restaurant syndrome is in full effect. However, Boston man… that’s where I’ve tasted the best pizza so far in my life. As you can see by the pics below, Regina Pizzeria is the place to taste some amazing pizza. Granted, true italians will say that a good pizza is supposed to have a very thin crust. They will also say that american-itals are the ones that popularized thick crust pizza. That’s aiiiight… The pizza at Regina offers the best of both worlds. For me, the cardinal rule for good pizza is to use a wood burning oven. It makes a heck of a difference. Temperatures reach 500 degrees making for a quick cook, thus, sealing of the flavors. Think of how a hot wok seals flavor in food. A wood oven also causes the pizza to be unevenly cooked. You end up with chewing different textures with every bite taking pizza eating to a whole new level…lol The closest thing I’ve had to good pizza in MTL is at Il Foccallio in Philips Square. One of the rare good restos in downtown. Nevertheless, I continue to be on the prowl for Boston pizza…
